Pros
Good company in terms of brand and reputation in the industry. The actual investment work is genuinely interesting, good research resources, and you do feel part of a respected name in UK wealth management. Pay was in line with market for the level. Some genuinely sharp, pleasant colleagues.
Cons
Unfortunately the positives are completely overshadowed by a toxic and deeply political culture in certain teams (particularly in London). Trust is non-existent – you will be told one thing to your face and discover later the complete opposite was being said behind your back. Senior management give zero meaningful support when things get difficult; it’s every person for themselves.
