Pros

Product is top of its class, continuous improvements and phenomenal to sell. In person get togethers. Remote. Offsites.

Cons

Poor leadership. C Suite is far removed from the daily life of their salespeople. There aren’t a ton of sales people at the company and sales leadership is abysmal. It’s a revolving door for the sales team. No training, no ramp and no industry knowledge is shared to the salesfolks that just get hired. It’s a sink or swim environment and sales leadership is quick to pin blame on their employees besides them selves. 4 AEs have been let go within their 3 month period of joining the company but no one questions why. Sales Leadership is too overwhelmed to handle a few AEs at the company that they forget to communicate quotas and learnings to newly joined members. False hope is given to SDRs that join with a promise for promotion but never happens. New Csuite has joined the company and they have brought back a ton of employees from their previous company - leading to a very poor culture clash. Don’t expect to last long here. They are always looking to cut costs and the eyes or on their employees. Tread carefully. You might be great one quarter until they decide you’re a bit too expensive to hold onto. Oh and also extremely poor work life balance. Always expect to be on at least 12 hours a day. Very much of a “Drink the kool-aid” to be safe environment.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Feedback like this isn’t easy to read, but it’s incredibly valuable as we keep growing. We’re early in our journey and fortunate to have built something our customers love that has fueled our incredible growth. But as part of that, we’ve had to continuously work to scale the team and structure around it, which has led to some growing pains. We take feedback from employees (both current and former) seriously and appreciate the insights on ways to improve. We’ve already made changes to improve onboarding, training, and sales support so new team members can ramp faster and feel set up to succeed. We care deeply about building a place where talented people can do great work and grow with the company, and we’re committed to getting better every day. Thank you, Oren Friedman, CEO

Pros

The team culture is the real standout here. Wins get celebrated across the board. People are thoughtful, collaborative, and genuinely invested in what they're building, which sounds like a cliché until you actually experience it. As a CSM, you are truly seen as a strategic partner to customers, so you get deep exposure to complex accounts and real ownership over outcomes. That's made easier by the fact that Rally takes "customer-first" seriously company-wide. People across the org are actively talking to customers and listening to how they work, and you can feel it in how product decisions get made. You're not the lone advocate for the customer internally. Leadership is very open about the company's direction, which makes you feel like a partner rather than just an employee. Leadership trusts the team, so there's little red tape, if any. If you see a problem or have a passion for something, you're empowered to go fix it.

Cons

Things move fast and processes are still maturing, which is just the nature of an early-stage company. What's less typical is how much Rally has invested in documentation and resources (onboarding materials, product guides, a solid knowledge base, etc.) so you're not left figuring it out from scratch.

Pros

Rally is genuinely the best team environment I have ever been part of. The culture is incredibly collaborative even though we are a remote company. Everyone here is so supportive and they all truly care about the research space, our product, and doing their best work to help both the team and our customers succeed. The team is extremely humble and ego-free. You'd have a very hard time finding someone here who wouldn't jump in to help immediately if you asked. Since we are a startup, there's a very strong sense of ownership in what you're doing. Leadership trusts our skillsets and allows us to have real impact in how we work toward our goals, while still providing thoughtful feedback and support. They strike a great balance in that area. In my time here, our leaders have been consistently thoughtful, helpful, transparent, and invested in helping me achieve my own goals.

Cons

Like any fast growing startup, some processes and systems are still being built out and optimized. This can be a con if you prefer very structured environments or minimal ambiguity. The flip side is that you have a real opportunity to help shape and build these processes as we evolve.
