Pros

Good if you want to experience being a TV reporter. The reporting work itself is pretty standard and manageable.

Cons

- Management is very indecisive. Priorities change often, and decision-making isn't great. - I didn't feel like I learned much because the day-to-day work was quite repetitive. Since the TV station isn't focused on news, there are only a few news slots, so a lot of the stories you work hard on never actually air. It gets pretty demotivating. - The editorial team often leaves the field team to deal with administrative issues. There were multiple occasions where they forgot to register for events, then asked reporters to contact organizers and somehow convince them to let us in after registration had already closed. That should've been handled by the desk, not reporters. - Sometimes the desk would ask us to cover events but hadn't even done basic research beforehand, so reporters ended up fixing problems that could've been avoided with better planning. - The work culture wasn't very professional. Gossiping about coworkers, unnecessary drama, and random yelling were often brushed off as "that's just media culture." creating a lot of unnecessary stress.

Pros

Supportive creative team – Colleagues are skilled and collaborative, which makes it easier to learn and grow together. Unique experience in the TV industry – Working in a broadcast environment provides valuable exposure to fast-paced production and real-time content. Variety of projects – Opportunities to work on a wide range of projects such as TV bumpers, promo animations, and visuals for live shows. Skill development – A great place to sharpen technical skills, especially in Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and broadcast design. Relatively stable working hours compared to some other TV stations where overtime can be excessive.

Cons

Entry-level salary is quite standard for Jakarta and may feel low for those with prior experience. Last-minute revisions can happen frequently, requiring strong time management and flexibility. Work equipment could be improved, as some projects are heavy and need more powerful machines. Career path is not very clear for creative roles, so you need to be proactive about growth and development.
