Pros

Mostly nice people. Good benefits. Job security. Lots of communication. Much attention is paid to company culture, especially in the main office. There's a policy, procedure, and form for almost everything. Project teams can have somewhat different ways of doing things. Seems easy to play office politics, just attend meetings, and go along with the rest of the company, if that’s what you like to do. There’s plenty of people doing that, although those opportunities may be limited to the tenured.

Cons

Passive leadership. No individual performance incentives. Low accountability. Much time wasted in pointless meetings, not oriented toward resolutions and actions. Company culture does not necessarily transfer to project sites. The team I worked for was an old boys club, coasting toward retirement. They disregarded the value of time for salaried exempt employees, requiring extra work but not paying for overtime. Would not recommend this company to people who are motivated to be productive and use time efficiently.
