Pros
All Flyers attend regular all-hands company meetings. These meetings are transparent and give all Flyers access to important business information, and drive the purpose of our work and the tangible results.
The company is welcoming, and makes a noticeable effort to make all employees feel welcome and included.
The company puts value in eating together, by hosting regular company lunches, offering subsidized in-office food choices and creating a warm, comfortable café space, where Flyers choose to eat together instead of eating alone at a desk. This is such a small thing, but allows various cross-departmental employees to interact on a regular basis. It encourages entry level employees to get to know senior leaders. It creates a family environment, where everyone knows one another, feels comfortable collaborating, sharing mistakes and asking for help.
Cons
The workload is heavy for most positions, due to small team sizes and a selective hiring process that often leads to longer lead times in hiring for open roles. Having more employees would give Flyers the time to do more creative, innovative work.
