Pros
The workers in my area were all superb; friendly, knowledgeable, ready and willing to help one another, and with a good level of professional integrity. Many of them spent time together outside of work, at happy hours, bbq's, and such. Casual work environment, no dress code. Most lower management were flexible with their employees' work hours, allowing people to move their start time if needed, leave for appointments or family issues as needed, etc.
Cons
Recent acquisition of the company by Sterling Partners started a stream of employee resignations, and a hiring freeze was put into effect at the same time which caused our overworked area to be even more overloaded. Follow that by the layoffs of some of the most experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable employees. Upper mgmt denied U.S. jobs being moved to the newly opened India Development Center, and then shortly afterwards U.S. jobs are posted as open in the IDC.
