Pros
Health benefits are good but expensive compared to other employers. Overtime cannot be forced and they do pay straight time for overtime (for salaried employees). Unless you commit one of 3 deadly sins, you won't get fired, so it is quite stable if all you want is a paycheck.
Cons
Antiquated technology, minimal resources for getting the job done, focus is entirely on time and budget, not on doing the job correctly, technical expertise level is quite low (almost incompetent). Raytheon seems to be a place where technically inferior folks hang out, waiting to retire. Salary is low compared to other companies. While they can't force you to work overtime, they do put pressure on you to do so. "Lifers" walk around the hallways with blank facial expressions, no passion and energy, just going through the motions. Don't question management...they know it all and will beat any "rebellion" out of you. They worship at the alter of "process". It is a very dull and negative place to work.
