Pros

RTS Tactical gave me incredible opportunities to take on real responsibilities and grow both professionally and personally. The fast-paced nature of the company allowed me to develop skills quickly—problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability—while working on projects that had a direct impact. If you’re self-driven, willing to take initiative, and thrive in an environment where you’re trusted to make decisions, this is a place where you can excel. The company’s mission of providing high quality tactical gear to law enforcement and military personnel adds an extra level of purpose to the work, which I really appreciate.

Cons

Because RTS Tactical moves quickly, it can be a challenging place for people who need a lot of hand-holding. The company has been working on improving training and onboarding, and I’ve seen real progress in that area. However, hiring people who aren’t self-motivated or adaptable can be difficult, as they may struggle to keep up with the pace. The structure is evolving, but it still requires a certain level of independence and problem-solving.

Pros

Brand new to the corporate world after 20 plus years of Govt service with almost no sales experience I was given an opportunity to prove myself. I'm enjoying being with a small rapidly growing company that my input is valued and I can make positive change. Being a smaller company I'm also getting to work with product development and help create things I've always wanted to have when I did the job. I'm enjoying the company of the people I work with, several reviews mentioned a toxic environment ... it doesn't even come close to the toxicity of Government work. Overall, I'm enjoying the work and the people and happy to be doing it.

Cons

Wearing several hats as a smaller company the work load can be overwhelming at times and a struggle to prioritize. As of right now the pay does not match the workload BUT I also realize that in sales it takes time to ramp up your pipeline and within due time I will be where I want to be.

Pros

The training foundation is solid—you’re prepared and trained before being thrown into the deep end. Salary plus commission: The more effort you put in, the better you become, and the more you earn. Coming from a career that didn’t necessarily reward proactive effort, I really appreciate the ability to increase my income by doing more, without having to log overtime. Mission-driven work: Being involved with law enforcement and first responders, helping solve problems, educate, and keep more people safe—ensuring they make it home to their families

Cons

You may occasionally work some weekends for events or training. It’s not frequent and not a huge deal, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re not coming from a corporate background.
