Pros

Bonus structure, opportunity to get a lot of experience with the fielding side of the MR industry and knowledge about different types of research

Cons

Abusive and generally inappropriate work environment. The small business mindset without a defined and built out HR function has allowed for unprofessional behavior to go unchecked. Bonus structure is great when the company is doing well, but that does not negate that for the number of hours worked the compensation/benefits are below average. Was asked to move/reduce my approved and scheduled time off so another colleague could take PTO instead. Limited growth opportunities. Unrealistic expectations of project managers. Multiple instances of changing processes/assigning additional tasks without thought of the increased workload and no additional assistance/support to accomplish these tasks.

Pros

This is one of the best run organizations I've been a part of. They truly care for their employees and provide a great work life balance

Cons

Nothing comes to mind, it's been great.

Pros

This is a good company if you're a college grad or completely new to market research, but even then the job will stagnate after 12-18 months. There were two big pros to the company that they have now clamped down on hard - flexibility with WFH and comp/bonuses. An RTO policy was recently implemented without prior warning. The comp structure used to be incentivizing but they're quickly making it more 'corporate friendly' to boost their own margins.

Cons

Career growth: In 3.5 years at the company I saw one person get a promotion. In fact, following restructuring and team reorganization, many people technically got demoted, being assigned to roles with less responsibility & status, and having to climb the ladder again to get back to where they started. The company will entice you with promises of career growth but you'll quickly see this is a carrot & stick tactic. Work/life balance: Non existent. Several days after a surgery I was asked if I could 'hobble in a day early' (direct quote) to attend a meeting, even though other colleagues were attending remotely. Setting time aside to work on public holidays is expected, all in the name of going above-and-beyond without any direction on what that actually means. The company culture breeds workaholics and any attempt to reclaim your personal time will be met with profanities and guilt tactics - I have the text msgs to prove it! This is your warning, if you value your work/life balance stay away from this company! Comp & bonuses: May seem really good on paper but each time our team bonused it just felt like overtime comp because the workload was so crazy. Is it worth working on public holidays for any bonus, no matter how big? If so, then this company is for you. Management may sweep off these criticisms as growing pains but you can only keep using that phrase for so long, then you have to call it incompetent management and a workaholic culture.
