Pros

RJN is a great place to work. Being 100% employee owned has truly become part of our culture and I see it in how everyone wants us to do well, because if RJN does well, we all benefit. We have seen great share price growth over the last few years which has made our ESOP even more valuable. Teams throughout the company are tightly knit while also being accepting, and staff who perform well are always offered the flexibility they are needed in their personal lives to succeed.

Cons

As a smaller company, we won't have the same infrastructure with onboarding, etc. that a larger company has, but we do have good structure and plans for new hires.

Pros

Open, collaborative environment where people genuinely care about their work and are willing to jump in and help each other. Being 100% employee-owned is not just an empty statement, it's a mentality that values people. The ESOP benefit means free money growing for you -- as the company succeeds, you share the reward. Leadership has a genuine care and commitment to improving employee experience and continually improving. I've always been encouraged to pursue certifications, training, and attend conferences to grow professionally. While RJN has a smaller company feel regarding relationships and people, they also manage to offer comprehensive benefits and programs, which they have continued to add to. A more recent addition includes a parental leave program. Leadership is very approachable and open to suggestions. Company social events are always fun and provide staff with relaxed facetime and a shared sense of community. Lots of committees you can participate in and share your employee voice. And at the end of the day, we can feel good about the impact our work has on the health of our communities around the nation. It may not always look glamorous on the outside, but it truly matters!

Cons

Been there nearly a decade and it's been great! Like other mid-size businesses with a large footprint, RJN is constantly balancing team efforts of delivering current projects with investing in new initiatives and pursing complex opportunities. That can stretch teams at times. But we work together and pitch in across groups, which adds to the culture of one team, even when we're spread across the nation.
