Pros
Working from home
Flex schedule
Able to take unpaid time off
Cons
Owner was hardly ever available. Manager would mislead you that contract was renewed it was not approved by client. This company lacks in stability and longtivity for a career seeking individual.
Company does not offer benefits nor raises. Just recently changed over from 1099 to W2 due to IRS demand. Company will not pay for travel, but will “possibly” reimburse most (not all).
After stating that contract would be renewed until the following year, manager gives less than 2 weeks’ notice that contract was not renewed. Manager was not at all concerned on promoting employee for other job opportunities that the company may have. Manager did not respond to reference letter request.
When an issue would come up between client and with this Rise employee, manager would have you write up an email so he could send on your behalf. Manager will not be your advocate in time of need.
Due to implementing new payroll systems, it took 3 weeks to get paid. Holidays also cause issues with being paid on time.
If you are trying to purchase a house or a car and want job stability with a manager that truly cares about you, who is honest and wants see you succeed in your career, this is not the place to work. There is no culture at Rise and when the money runs out from client they throw you away like you meant nothing.
