Dear "A professional point of view", Thank you for taking the time to give us your assessment of RIM and congratulations on your 5 year anniversary! We value your input and use it to review ourselves. Our forward thinking focuses on technology which allows us to handle more transactions with increased efficiency creating a better overall experience for our customers. Our sales atmosphere was created from the very beginning with the mantra that "everyone at RIM sells". RIM is constantly trying to improve at all levels and in all areas. This includes our alignment, standardization in process and communication as noted in your review. Our communication needs to constantly improve. It's critical to our success that we share our vision, set expectations, execute the plan and then review our results. People like yourself are an important part of this process and we need to make sure you are updated on a consistent basis to keep us at the top of our industry.

Pros

The new office was nice, and the leadership team truly seemed supportive and appreciative of the interns. We had lunch and weekly meetings with the president and other senior leaders, which made it clear they cared about our growth. There was also plenty of workplace training, including support that helped me earn my CargoWise certification.

Cons

While I had interesting, useful, and hands-on projects to do sometimes, there would be days, sometimes multiple in a row where I had little work to do, and it would be very boring busywork. Also, pay for interns was only $17 an hour and we only came in 20 hours a week.
