Pros

Good coworkers and pretty office

Cons

Management here is the actual worst. First of all, they hired way too many people, so the promises of unlimited OT were gone and our hours were cut, all while the CEO travels around on his private jet and yacht. The management here created such a toxic work environment, with the gossiping infront of everyone in the office about coworkers who were on lunch break and couldn’t defend themselves, to guilting you for weeks for calling out sick. This place claims to put employees first, but it’s all a lie. Not to mention, we would have “values alignments” each week to sit and hear Gary, the CEO, talk for 30 min and spend the next 30 minutes discussing how life changing and eye opening it was to hear him speak. Cult!!! Never work here if you care about your mental health and well being! Also, no chance for moving up the ladder here, they claim to have opportunities for growth but there really is none because they are constantly hiring new people!

Pros

One of the strongest aspects of this role is the autonomy. I’m trusted to make decisions that genuinely support the customer experience without constant approval from leadership. If I believe an exchange plus a $250 gift card is the right solution to preserve a relationship, I’m empowered to do that. That level of trust creates confidence and allows us to move quickly when issues arise. Leadership is accessible when needed, especially in escalated situations. I’ve never felt left alone to manage something beyond my scope. There is also regular voluntary overtime available, which is a plus for those looking to increase their hours. For someone transitioning from another industry, the environment feels more structured and brand-focused, which has been refreshing

Cons

The clientele can be challenging. Some customers assume that spending thousands of dollars entitles them to treat frontline employees disrespectfully, even when those employees had no involvement in the original issue. It can also be frustrating to hold a boundary with a customer, only to see it reversed after escalation. While I understand the desire to preserve relationships, it can unintentionally undermine employee confidence and consistency in standards. Because RH carries so many collections and product variations, the learning curve is steep. Customers often expect immediate, detailed product knowledge, which takes time to develop.
