Pros

You will meet some amazing people. They do a great job at hiring talented people...even though they can't keep them.

Cons

-Lazy management team that micromanages and complains about their employees -Required to wear multiple hats and constantly "flex" while the management team offers little to no support -Extremely high turnover -Once you finally put your notice in they will try and bribe you to stay by offering anything you've ever asked for (set schedule, higher pay, etc.) so they've been able to get you this the entire time... -Blatant favoritism from management, rules do not apply to everyone -Required to use sick time and vacation days for any COVID quarantines, then penalized for not having any sick time/vacation days saved for when you need it -Open Easter with no holiday pay, did not tell associates they would be open until the last minute -No set schedule -0 commission and 0 bonuses on sales -The yearly review raise is nothing but comical -Pretends to be a design firm and hires people with design background under this impression, it's retail with retail hours -Cult meetings everyday at the start of your shift, they will force feed you the company "kool-aid" during these meetings as well as show "inspirational" videos of their out of touch CEO. -Zero upwards growth, impossible to be promoted they will continuously put unnecessary obstacles in your way

Pros

One of the strongest aspects of this role is the autonomy. I’m trusted to make decisions that genuinely support the customer experience without constant approval from leadership. If I believe an exchange plus a $250 gift card is the right solution to preserve a relationship, I’m empowered to do that. That level of trust creates confidence and allows us to move quickly when issues arise. Leadership is accessible when needed, especially in escalated situations. I’ve never felt left alone to manage something beyond my scope. There is also regular voluntary overtime available, which is a plus for those looking to increase their hours. For someone transitioning from another industry, the environment feels more structured and brand-focused, which has been refreshing

Cons

The clientele can be challenging. Some customers assume that spending thousands of dollars entitles them to treat frontline employees disrespectfully, even when those employees had no involvement in the original issue. It can also be frustrating to hold a boundary with a customer, only to see it reversed after escalation. While I understand the desire to preserve relationships, it can unintentionally undermine employee confidence and consistency in standards. Because RH carries so many collections and product variations, the learning curve is steep. Customers often expect immediate, detailed product knowledge, which takes time to develop.
