Freedom to get away from the environment of the office

I was hired as a part time runner for 10.00 dollars a hour plus mileage. I was told that I would be doing deliveries of contracts, paperwork and so forth. It was never discussed that I would have to go out and do physical labor. Well I was sent to show properties(not a broker, don't have a license) to open spaces, waiting for 30 minutes to an hour for contractors to decide to keep the appointments that they had made, putting up signs in the elements, doing a brokers work for them while they sat in the office with their feet on the desk. This company has no heart. We lost part of our house in Hurricane Harvey and I was told "Well we will try to work with you for the hours that you miss." It is a Toxic Environment and the reason that they can't keep runners is because they are treated like dirt for a small amount of money. I was suppose to work 25 hours a week and not one week that I was there did I work 25 hours, it was always more. The day after the Hurricane finally let up, the staff in the office was more concerned with a retreat that they were attending than the people whose lives were affected by the storm, one of them being their CFO that had to be swift water rescued in Houston. If you are looking to work for decent human beings, don't work here.
