Pros

They have offices worldwide, so sometimes you get to travel to very interesting places. There were a lot of good people, but recently the company has done a lot of downsizing, followed by a lot of people leaving voluntarily, and now most of the good people have left, some still there though. Pay is average for the industry, benefits are very good.

Cons

They company has had a "change process" which has been handled extremely poorly. On top of the large numbers of staff that were let go, many have now voluntarily, and sadly its been mostly the good people who've left. The company seem adamant that no matter how many staff they lose, things are fine, and this will never have any kind of impact of work whatsoever. The reality is that getting things done properly is impossible and it is always the people at the bottom who get blamed. There's also a very bad attitude from management of dealing with unpleasant or difficult people. There aren't that many but the few there are can get away with anything, as management don't want to accept there's a problem as it means dealing with it. Again, the people at the bottom of the chain have to work extra hard for the lazy and difficult in the company, as well as being blamed for their mistakes.

Pros

Everyone I work with at RES is high caliber. People are intelligent, good communicators and are pleasant to work with. Management is clear on expectations from staff. RES has the resources to outsource help for any pain points, which is great and leads to faster resolution. The company has already been around for 50 years so it is stable and feels safe to invest your time and energy into.

Cons

Career progression is stunted because people are happy here and stay long term, which means elevated positions are harder to come by.
