Pros

- Good pay, weekly payments - Not much lesson planning required - No micro management - Total freedom in the classroom - If the kids like you, you're golden - Genuinely enjoyed working with the kids - Offered me monthly housing stipend when I asked for a raise - Vietnamese staff generally helpful & nice when I asked for something - I made friends with some colleagues

Cons

- Poor wifi at times - Sometimes technical issues in the classroom with projector, etc - No flash cards to supplement review portion of lesson - Sometimes I felt that they really tried to pack too much info into one lesson, could be a little more focused - Students placed into class beyond their skill level - Interrupted frequently during classes & asked to go conduct speaking tests for potential students, even asked to do online speaking tests when I was at home - I worked at two different locations in two different cities, the second city I worked I was promised 15 hours a week which was only true for maybe one month at best - I was continually harassed by a crazy colleague in second city who even went so far as to come yell at my students, RES did not care & I didn't care to work in this environment so I left

Pros

I can't think of any. Compared to other schools/educational institutes we have right now, they are outdated

Cons

Very sketchy in operation, especially in paying salary.
