Pros

REPSG used to a quality place to work at. The pros of working there revolved around the quality people that used work there. Once upon a time you enjoyed showing up to the crappy office space because you like who you worked with and people were competent. REPSG used to succeed despite it's best efforts to fail.

Cons

Lack of leadership, vision, management, accountability, and business sense to name a few. Any company executive, manager, or senior staff member that is decent at their job either quits or is left so unsupported they can't do their job any more. Wages are relatively low for the industry as the company struggles to manage finances. Communication is poor to non-existent between departments, and from senior to junior staff. Facilities are not kept up well. The landlord and part owner of the company is very cheap and doesn't care about keeping a clean, safe work environment. Managers have no interest in being mentors or growing the careers of those that report to them. The few decent managers either burn out and stop trying or leave for greener pastures. Client base is generally slow to non-paying with unrealistic expectations that are promulgated by the lack of management within the REPSG structure.

Pros

Exposure to a variety of projects and clients Opportunities to develop technical skills Some colleagues and management staff were supportive and collaborative

Cons

Constantly changing management and ongoing restructuring created instability Lack of trust between management and employees Poor handling of employee health issues; significant delays in allowing necessary medical leave Insufficient support and resources for professional growth High turnover rate contributing to a stressful work environment Strange onboarding process; I was given a phone and laptop set up for an older employee without the data wiped, forcing me to use personal accounts for basic communication No real shadowing period or introduction to colleagues; I was immediately put to work Inadequate training due to absent or ineffective project managers Frequently left off important project email chains until the last possible moment Taken off my own projects to work on others without any personal benefit Strange infighting between senior management and constant discussions about previous employees Inappropriate conversations between senior and junior staff Poor internal communication Non-paid overtime is constant Fairly dangerous neighborhood No lunch breaks provided Unsanitary conditions; the restrooms were frequently left in unacceptable states
