Pros
Benefits are good, most of the people who work at the hourly/lead level are honest, hard working people. Cross training is available for people who want it.
Cons
Anyone above department supervisors have no clue what goes on at the company. They are immensely disconnected from the hourly employees who do the work. Operations are bloated from too many shifts, and too many people. No one gets full hours for close to 7-8 months out of the year, unless there are opportunities to support other departments; those ops are not always available. No work life balance unless you have a mass of PTO accrued over many years. Good luck having vacation hours to spend if you constantly have to use them to fill your weekly hours to a level that equates to an OK standard of living.
