Pros
Lots of overtime hours available every week. What matters is not what you’ve accomplished in a day, but how many hours you were seen “working.” Management is pretty good about allowing time off for personal reasons.
Cons
Unproductive, dysfunctional environment. (Rated X language & bully behaviors frequently used, much personal drama interferes with work, temper-tantrums are normal.) Many staff and management are unprofessional in their conduct with fellow coworkers, and there was no repercussions for inappropriate language & actions. Takes pride in “wall of shame” atmosphere. Managers are CCd on every email - lots of "covering your back" behaviors. Employees are not empowered enough to make decisions within their scope of authority. Employees are not shown that they are valued. Very poor compensation & benefits, work/life balance. There is little opportunity to advance. No incentives to keep motivated and on task. Reward system? What reward system? Office staff is not treated with much respect. High staff burnout & turnover.
