Pros
loved my stylists and loved the products and learning. Able to make my schedule work and keep it stable myself with relatively little interference which did make it so that my stylists depended on my showing up on time and they were usually ready for me with their order.
Cons
young boy, son of owners, who was given "cherried" accounts even when DSC was assured that if we opened a salon we kept it. Young boy was given big accounts because he was a boy and the parents wanted to take care of him. There are still constant out of stocks due to management lack of attention to inventory. There is no availability to move up or make more money because all the opportunities are taken from the DSC and given to baby boy. Low salary except baby boy makes double what everyone else makes. Baby Boy was given more "owndership " responsibilities before he was ready. He takes time off and goes rock climbing in the middle of the day while the rest are expected to put in full days. He is allowed vacation time and is given insurance. All of his travel expenses are paid 100% while the others must furnish their own expenses (gas, car, etc.) Accounts are taken away if he wants them, which takes money out of others' pockets as well.
