Pros
They REALLY know how to butter you up and encourage you to get on board by using catchphrases and vague generalities about what they actually do. These people are pros at feeding your ego and using your own desire for success - or your own greed - against you.
Cons
Every straight question was dismissed with the phrase; "You'll learn all about what you need to know on the first day of training." I was never given a straight answer to the question - what would my actual duties be if I actually got this job. There was a lot of dismissive hand-waving - you'll find out all about that on the first day of training if we hire you... if you're one of the lucky few we chose! Then, you'll find out really quickly is that they hire "everyone" because the turn-over rate is about 99%! I asked the straight question: How much does it pay? "Don't worry... whatever you don't make during the first two weeks of training you'll more than makeup later! I'll tell you this - the 'Senior Executive' of this branch is making a "Crap" load of money!" I was never given a direct answer to the question - how much will I be making an hour or weekly salary - EVER. There is a lot of promises of unlimited wealth so long as you "Stick with the program" which they don't tell what the program is, what it's about, or what kind of program it is. The problem all of us have who "one-click apply" on job boards is that we don't take the time to read the reviews. Alarm bells should be going off when you read cliche-ridden "pro Reviews" one second and then reviews written by real people and all of those reviews are negative. Does it make any sense that there are two extremes?
