Pros

Working from home is the only pro.

Cons

Many roles were moved offshore. The offshore employees are absolutely terrible. They don’t know how to work claims properly. I don’t understand how this company still has clients. I have seen a large amount of claims being written-off as a result of the garbage “work” by offshore employees. The US employees are constantly cleaning up their mistakes. Yet, this company would rather hire cheap labor overseas than keep US employees. Do not waste anymore time looking for jobs at this soul-sucking place if you live in the US. You will regret working here. This place does not value their employees. Do not believe their lies.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
