      Pros

      * Exposure to a variety of qualified mentors * High-energy * Intellecutal colleagues * "Work hard, play hard" mentality * Good benefits

      Cons

      * A great deal of on the job training, I know there are future plans to revise the current training program, but it could use more subject matter experts * Tends to be a lack of communication betweeen teams and disorganization from time to time, but again, something that can be easily revised

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Pros

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
