      Pros

      Great place to get experience straight out of college. Most people in the company are smart, ambitious, and fun. I have enjoyed my experience so far!

      Cons

      Long hours and long days. We have a lot of responsibility early on, and it would be helpful if we had a little more training. But they arm you enough when you enter the field.

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Pros

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
