      Pros

      The people are incredibly bright and innovative so you're always working with a team that has great capability. The existing client base is well respected and as an employee you have access to a robust learning environment.

      Cons

      The challenges really are around the past history and continued concerns fueled by lingering issues that hinder new sales and growth. This makes hitting targets tough.

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      Pros

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
