      Hands on Learing in high demand field No shortage of opportunities to grow within company New places - in the 3.5yrs I have been here I have been at 2 client sites Rewarding - work is challenging but impactful

      Cons

      High demand for talent that can "get the job done" . May be difficult for some to adjust to long hours and workload.

      No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
