Pros

The ambiance is one that doesn't compare to many. Fresh flowers weekly, lunch-provided meetings if working through your own, open floor plan that doesn't make it seem too stuffy or "Office Space", GREAT people of all types and abilities. The people there allow you to absorb their knowledge and make time for anyone when requested. Have no fear in reaching out!

Cons

ONE WORD - Nepotism!!! I am being honest when I say that I feel for people to scrutinize others when they haven't a clue about their own job, let alone yours, makes for a difficult place to work. Just because you know the C-Suite of people....doesn't mean you were qualified for the job. Nobody works well in fear - and when you are a great asset and told by majority, it is hard to keep that focus 100% of the time with the way Management drives fear into your bones. If everyone was just honest and straightforward, they would actually be respected more and our clients could understand that we are all in this together. Not enough staff to go around!! There is always an increasing amount of work. I know I have weeks where I have put in over 100hrs just to stay above water...barely! Management notices, especially when you tell them, but it takes months before anything is done, and by that time....you have MORE work to do in the form of new clients!

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
