      Intelligent coworkers, an environment that values results and a chance to make a difference for clients. Young group with lots of room for advancement.

      Cons

      Long hours but standard to other jobs. Would like to know of other opportunities outside of Minneapolis, perhaps at other sites?

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
