Pros

A lot of autonomy and flexibility comes with the role and truly an entrepreneurial business model and career, which may be a con for some but great for those that are self motivated and don't need much guidance. Great location and office. The analysts and interns are consistently top notch and from leading universities which is very helpful / crucial as a director when leading transactions.

Cons

Very entrepreneurial and truly eat what you kill type business model which can be seen as a good and a bad thing.

Pros

The internship offered great exposure to all aspects of sell-side M&A. It offered a great experience through the development of ongoing deals, and analysts were always happy to help out and guide me through different processes. To add, it is a friendly yet passionate work environment with clearly defined expectations.

Cons

Not for people who can't multitask or don't have knowledge of basic financial statements and ratios.

Pros

As an intern at R.L. Hulett, I was able to gain extensive knowledge and skills that I can carry with me throughout the rest of my career. The internship provided me with hands on experience in terms of working on reports and deals. The staff was nothing but welcoming and helpful throughout the entirety of the internship and there was never any hesitation when it came to answering any questions I had about a specific task or investment banking in general. The staff at R.L. Hulett are humble, and dedicated to their profession, and seeing this only made me want to work harder. Thus, the work environment is optimal for getting things done and learning things quickly. Within the few months I was able to work at R.L. Hulett, I gained more knowledge about finance and investment banking specifically than I could have ever expected.

Cons

A possible con would be the pressure that comes with some of the work. The team is nothing but assisting and helpful when it comes to guidance throughout the work that your given, but there is still pressure that comes with getting tasks done in a timely manner as investment banking as a field of work is demanding.
