Pros

If you’re new with no experience, you can be hired at the same pay (and often more) as individuals with a large amount of experience. There will always be more work to be done, so job eliminations seem unlikely for anyteam doing a production based workflow. No weekends work (ever) if you don’t want it.

Cons

Extremely limited career path. Over worked in a way I haven’t seen before. Labs were extremely disorganized. Unfounded Gossip is to the demise of many individuals. Many workers are pitted against eachother in hopes of having a lighter burden. No correlation between pay and experience. Peer to peer interactions has shown to be a direct contributor to the emotional wellness of other members. One team is particularly miserable m, and if you’re on that team, you’ll know by day 2. Often times, demonstrated Neglect of details and training leads to forgotten issues. Training is often not addressed or entirely skipped dispute objections from senior members of labs. Lack of proper training, in addition to Previous breaches of conduct by former employees, are taken out on present employees. This is leading to extreme micromanaging. This micromanaging does not only come from managers, but from fellow peers at and bellow each level. Many fellow employees have had their mental and physical health directly impacted. There is an ever increasing trend of finding someone to put responsibility on, avoid blame toward one one’s self. The retention rate (both volentary and involuntary departures) is extremely low, leading further to overworking, and stressed out management. This rate is only matched by the number of individuals that have applied elsewhere. Many fellow employees are afraid to address concerns, or bring up topics because it has been demonstrated that it often will be a hit to their perceived performance. I have observed that an individuals overachievement often becomes the new minimum performance expectation for the team. This leads to a lot of disgruntled peers and more gossip. Not having a permanent workspace or computer isn’t ideal but hopefully this will change .

Exceptional career growth opportunities, great co-workers, management very supportive, attractive benefit options, everyone open to questions from the newbie and have been very helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

Cons

It's a very large corporation, easy to get lost in the online help/resources systems.
