Pros
• Great people I enjoy being around during and after work
• Nice office in central Stockholm
• Plenty of good benefits and fun activities
• Time and help to develop the skills you want to develop
• Switching game project at around 3 times a year keeping the work interesting with different themes and features
• Each game team is fairly independent and use whatever workflow they like
• Opportunity to be part of the whole project and really widen your skillset. As a Game FX Artist I also get to code, animate characters, create 2D art, UI elements, help with game flow, game name and more, because I enjoy it and I think it improves the products. If you can and want to do more, that's great!
• I've had low stress, even near the end of projects
Cons
• Some times feeling limited in what FX I can put in the games since we are not using a game engine where I can directly implement my own work and add whatever I want. Instead, all FX (particles, spine animations, image sequences, screen shakes, transitions, etc.) are implemented by developers.
