Was great for me - SEO Manager QuickMail.io Employee Review

Pros

I was judged on results, which kept me honest. I had a 4-day work week with full pay. Pay was good. Lots of freedom in my role to try anything I wanted (as long as it got results). True fully-remote environment, with flexibility. For a period I was travelling all over the world and working at the same time which was great. Lots of paid time off.

Cons

I reported mostly to the CEO. He had an abrasive personality, but our personality types matched well so that wasn't an issue for me. A culture that was a bit too results-oriented for my liking.

Pros

Everyone on the team is stellar, there's no red-tape and everyone is empowered to work autonomously. It's hard to get hired because they're incredibly selective. Once you're on the team, all your co-workers are incredible. There's no politics or popularity contests, everyone stands on the merit of their work. You have the ability to influence your growth trajectory and have a real impact with your work. I've grown more at this job in 2 years than in the previous 10.

Cons

It's not really a con, but working here is intense. There's no way to coast and if you're slacking there's nowhere to hide. You're either moving the company forward or you're moving out.

I'm sorry this didn't work out George. Note: the collaboration was 2 months, not "more than 1 year".
