Pros

Absolutely zero pros for this cut throat sneaky company.

Cons

No Im not a disgruntled employee. I can honestly tell you that this is the WORST IP company to work for. This comoany is french owned/managed through most of the teams to give their employees absolutely no creativity or free-thinking. Its either their way or the highway. I can honestly tell you that they may not make it in the US market and I hope they dont. Extremely poor management and business skills. They dont want to see you excel. Goes to show you how greedy and inefficient Socialism is! Oh and btw their health plan is as good as their public health plan option in France (social healthcare) which is absolute garbage. Its an extremely high deductible plan with zero option of anything else.

Pros

Collaborative culture, helpful colleagues, remote flexibility. Management is supportive. And you get exposure to innovative organizations.

Cons

None to speak of at this time.

Pros

Questel has a really great offering that checks most of the boxes that corporate/law firm clients need when it comes to Intellectual Property, so the offering is strong which makes the work enjoyable in that you can really make a positive difference for your clients. My colleagues are all friendly and helpful. There's a healthy sense of competition but I have yet to meet anyone who will step on you to get what they want which is common in a lot of other places. I've heard from some coworkers that the culture has changed a lot (in a good way) in the last couple of years with new management. The training is really good here compared with some other IP SaaS/Service providers. Questel works hard to make sure you understand the products and the industry (which can be technical because it's an advanced legal topic).

Cons

IP SaaS/Services is a tough industry to get into if you don't already know a lot about the topic. It takes time to really get familiar with how patents especially work at a corporation or law firm. So it can be frustrating to get up to speed with the products. The company started in France even though its evolved into a global company over the last decade or so. A lot of the backend and support teams are still in Europe, which can make getting things done more challenging at times.
