Pros

For the brief period of time working there, I observed fantastic feedback about the services for people who received waiver funding.

Cons

I was hired as a Qualified Professional and first noticed something wasn't right when I was asked about "any mental health history that would prevent me from working, or have difficulties with my schedule". I had a desk in the middle of a room with so much free time when I started because I wasn't being trained, so I had to somehow look busy. Tried to get to know my coworkers in the office, and no one talked with each other in fear of upper management (reportedly others were fired for no reason with no warning). When I attempted to negotiate my schedule so I could pick up my children from preschool, I was fired - flat out. The reasoning? That if they unapproved my schedule change, that I'd be upset with them in the future and thus perform subquality work. Literally, that's what she told me. Also, management's children were being home-schooled in the office (the same office that Medicaid funding paid for...). Bathrooms for management's family was locked for their use only, and staff had their own separate bathroom. I've been in the social work field for YEARS and have never received the kind of treatment that I received there.

Pros

The people you work with are often wonderful people.

Cons

The office staff do not treat the staff that actually works with the clients well. There was a very big gap in how the office side was treated vs how the day center staff was treated.
