Pros

- great, smart, helpful coworkers - amazing technology being developed by brilliant minds - startup work environment where you can have a lot of autonomy in your role

Cons

- growing pains as with all startups - large geographic spread can make you feel disconnected from your team, although people do a good job of staying connected via Slack/Teams/etc. - career trajectories can be a little fuzzy. really on you to chart your own path

Pros

The science put out by Quantinuum is excellent, and many incredibly smart physicists are working on some of the most interesting problems in quantum computing. As a physicist the work we get to do is very fulfilling and most teams have reasonable work life balance (though not all do). Many scientists value working at a company that makes credible and realistic claims, which is often not the case in the quantum computing space. This has been relatively easy for Quantinuum to maintain as it has consistently developed some of the best quantum computing hardware in the world and is staffed by many incredible scientists and engineers.

Cons

The pay is low and benefits are lacking relative to competitors. While broadly speaking work-life balance is reasonable, certain teams are expected to put in huge hours to get things done on time, and this can extend over significant periods of time. While the RSUs that are offered certainly have reasonable expectation value, it is entirely unclear when that value will be realized. The CEO making vague and contradictory statements about these issues does not provide much room for optimism on this topic amongst employees and does not inspire confidence in the executive team.
