Pros
Great benefits, paid lunch with no clock out required, 12 hour shifts with 3 days off one week then four off the next week. Cheap uniforms. Progressive attitude to safety and education. Large facilities have cafeterias that are open for both shifts, and the ability to payroll deduct all vending and cafeteria purchases. Large plants also have onsite clinics and fitness rooms.
Cons
weak annual raises despite a positive annual review. A newly hired employee can out earn a tenured employee in a few years due to competitive recruiting.
