      Good base pay, good benefits.

      Cons

      Company has some traction in Quebec, but very little outside of it. Product development is based on needs of one or two key customers and not on what the market demands. The company is run by ex military folks with no experience in tech. Rather than charge a price commensurate with the maturity of the product the company blames poor sales performance on sales and marketing, while ignoring their feedback. If you look at reviews, most positive ones are from a few years ago.

      Focused mission. Zero office politics. Challenging but fair environment.

      Compensation may be less than with larger U.S. based companies.

      Pros

      Open and honest environment. No candy coating....."it's a startup and we need everyone working at full effort" was how I was recruited. Expect an unvarnished feedback loop. If you can handle it, it is a thrilling pace. Ideas bubble up and it's satisfying to see how one's contributions might make it onto a slide to present to advisory boards or even make its way into a prospect pitch. NO WOKENESS!

      Cons

      A startup is not for everyone. There are many course corrections. There's not a lot of time to obsess over feelings.
