      Pros

      Gold standard. This is an elite team tackling a truly mission-critical problem. Product-Market Fit is locked in... fueled by solid contracts from top tier clients. It has rock-solid operations. Every single ingredient needed for a scale up to succeed... As for you as a professional, you can achieve peak performance while making sure you love every minute of the journey.

      Cons

      Sometimes remote work can create misalignment/communication gaps but they are quickly caught up and solved through solid process and operations. Not even sure that in-person would solve these anyway! And in my experience, it can and has been much worse in other places.

      Pros

      Open and honest environment. No candy coating....."it's a startup and we need everyone working at full effort" was how I was recruited. Expect an unvarnished feedback loop. If you can handle it, it is a thrilling pace. Ideas bubble up and it's satisfying to see how one's contributions might make it onto a slide to present to advisory boards or even make its way into a prospect pitch. NO WOKENESS!

      Cons

      A startup is not for everyone. There are many course corrections. There's not a lot of time to obsess over feelings.
