Pros

QTS has a an all-round culture of excellence. It is evident in the way that we provide service to customers, as well as the care of the employees. It is truly a company that has senior leadership that values the employees as family. There is a friendliness in the work environment that is hard to find. There are opportunities for advancement, along with recognition and reward for job performance. I have personally witnessed numerous employees that have moved from entry-level positions to senior technical and management positions. The Data Centers are top-notch. Salaries are inline with industry averages and HR has actively ensured that remains the case. There have been numerous instances of spot bonuses, along with continuing bonus participation that covers more than most companies. Benefits such as health, life insurance and disability are strong and volunteerism is a central tenet. We have women and minorities in senior positions, along with an emphasis on programs that facilitate diversity. There are employees that have been with QTS for much longer than the norm in the IT world - some from inception that go back 15+ years. I am fortunate to work for a company that truly cares about its employees and embodies their values like no other.

Cons

The work environment is still the traditional cubicle and office model. Managers of any level have offices that are in stark contrast to the small cubicles with little separation. There is no differentiation in the workplace for non-management employees. A senior level technical employee with 15+ years of experience has the same small cubicle as an entry-level employee. The noise and proximity in the cubicle environment detract from performing at your best. Remote work during COVID-19 is the norm and a welcome relief from cubicle life.

Thank you for your feedback. QTS strives to develop work environments that align with our guiding principles and create productive and positive settings for all employees across our company. Our workspace designs align with our corporate sustainability goals, minimizing global and local environmental impact, and promoting improved productivity, creativity, and good health of all. QTS invests in ergonomic chairs, tables, and other workplace accessories that support employee wellness. Office designs evolve as the company expands and continue to be updated to meet various department needs. Operational environments in new buildings provide worktables to further support teamwork, sales spaces with cubicles and sound attenuation, and team-oriented open office areas with collaboration stations, facilitating engagement. QTS continues to refresh older office designs when appropriate. Laney Marinich, Vice President Development

Pros

The company has continued to find new ways to increase retention. Have a great team and feel supported by management. Just added a new equity program along with already existing stock purchase program.

Cons

Limited amount of work from home days allocated per employee. No car bonus or reimbursement for tolls on commute to work.

We appreciate the review! It's encouraging to hear you're excited about our new equity program, "Together We Grow." When QTS is successful, everyone is successful! QTS recognizes that work flexibility is important and employees are encouraged to utilize all 52 work-from-home days every year. This does not include days when the unexpected occurs, like picking up a sick child from school, running home to take care of an immediate need, falling ill, etc. Thank you for your feedback and contributions to QTS!

Pros

Servant Leadership - Folks will lean in to help you resolve issues. Fluid workflow - There are opportunities to work with other workgroups when you have spare capacity to grow your knowledge/experience into other areas. Rampant Growth - Industry as a whole is expanding very fast. Giving new opportunities for movement Environmental stewards - Leader in sustainable data centers with closed loop cooling. Community driven - Constantly have volunteer opportunities available and actively looking for more Teamwork - From at work, to at home; Your coworkers, managers, and executives actually care about you. They want to know who you are and are genuine in their interactions. CEO's will actively strive to learn your name... so it still has the small company vibe, but it is getting bigger fast.

Cons

Growing pains - Rapid growth and expansion have left some policies in need of polishing/creating. With the rapid growth there is upward mobility that leaves production vacuums behind. Good/Bad - the expansion doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
