Pros

Nice facilities/offices, pleasant co-workers, flexible work hours

Cons

Inept management has little to no accountability and trickles down within their organizations. The same management team lacks direction, focus and a cohesive strategy. Teams work in silos, and one department usually has no clue what another department is doing. Very few formal processes in place (that are actually adhered to by all departments). Obvious power struggles exist between executives and upper management. The result? Everyone goes off and does his own thing. I say his, because there are very few females or minorities included within the "inner circle" of the executive team. As more employees leave, positions are left vacant for long periods of time (if ever filled), and the workloads are passed off to the already overworked staff (who actually do try to do as much as they can). Management's expectations of completing projects/tasks is totally unrealistic - everything is always last minute and needed "tomorrow," Since many departments are short staffed and overworked, employees have little time to deliver, and the end product is usually satisfactory at best. The performance review process (if you want to call it that) is a joke. Some managers conduct reviews one way while others do it another way, while others don't even bother. Many employees have no idea what type of pay raise and/or bonus they will receive until after the fact. No one that I know takes these reviews seriousl, because managers are so unorganized and wait until the very last minute. Clearly, management is more concerned about what the board members and share holders think than they do about their employees. Maybe that's why the company has lost many of their best people over the past few years?

Thank you for the review. As with any organization, leaders often have differing views ... which is what can drive 'out-of-the-box' thinking and innovation. Our rapid growth has definitely meant challenges for everyone, but we have made great strides in developing our current strategy, which aligns the different areas of QTS. Cross-functional teams are working together to develop coordinated strategies to help drive success and continued growth. When it comes to open positions, we do take great care during the interview process to ensure we are bringing people into our QTS family who will be a good fit for our culture, people and customers. We are happy to say we get that right most of the time. That does sometimes mean it takes longer to fill certain positions, but we do feel the effort is worth the end result. Pros

• Co-workers are genuinely kind, respectful and supportive - HR does an amazing job of screening for skills and talent as well as making sure there's a connection to the culture that has been established at QTS over the last two decades. • A true focus on giving back and supporting groups in our communities. • Trust in leadership + transparency in communications

Cons

• Like any company at the forefront of the digital revolution, there is constant change in the industry - change that can cause frequent shifts in plans + processes + needs

Pros

Servant Leadership - Folks will lean in to help you resolve issues. Fluid workflow - There are opportunities to work with other workgroups when you have spare capacity to grow your knowledge/experience into other areas. Rampant Growth - Industry as a whole is expanding very fast. Giving new opportunities for movement Environmental stewards - Leader in sustainable data centers with closed loop cooling. Community driven - Constantly have volunteer opportunities available and actively looking for more Teamwork - From at work, to at home; Your coworkers, managers, and executives actually care about you. They want to know who you are and are genuine in their interactions. CEO's will actively strive to learn your name... so it still has the small company vibe, but it is getting bigger fast.

Cons

Growing pains - Rapid growth and expansion have left some policies in need of polishing/creating. With the rapid growth there is upward mobility that leaves production vacuums behind. Good/Bad - the expansion doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
