Pros
Gained many skills from the training period which made my CV look a lot better in the long run. Even though I did not make the cut for a developer position they really do work hard to find you somewhere else to go to according to your skills. In a difficult job sector to start in QA really get you going and onto the ladder. They really show you how the real world is. Throw away the rose tinted glasses you get from university. Going forward in any career is paved with problems and set backs and I really appreciated how they would tell you when you have messed up and how to correct it. I would have to personally thank John, Gareth and Jordan for helping and advising me to find a position and a starting point in the business when I was unsure of my prospects at the beginning of my training.
Cons
Due to the ever changing environment of the job sector be prepared to face many sudden changes that may see you in one location one week and on the other side of the country by the next!
