Pros
PureTech Health is a unique company led by a very capable management team and an amazing CEO, Daphne Zohar. I worked there for a number of years and was very impressed with the intelligence and creativity of the people, the quality of the science being pursued by each program, the dedication to company culture, and the career development opportunities. The thing that really stands out to me about my time at PureTech is the quality and accessibility of the team. I was part of the company at a relatively early stage in my career, and was impressed with how accessible senior leadership (including board members and advisers) was. Despite being part of the company during a scale-up and growth period, the organization always felt flat and I had opportunities and responsibilities at all levels. The team members I worked most closely with were high achieving scientists with entrepreneurial personalities. Most had been affiliated with top institutions or had worked with the top investigators in their field, and all shared a passion for solid, innovative science with the potential to have a significant impact in healthcare. Success and advancement opportunities at PureTech were primarily merit based. I was given a lot of freedom and responsibility to demonstrate success, and expectations for what success looked like were clear. Compensation and benefits were both good (short term, incentive based, and long term)
