      Generally speaking an easy job, ideal for students and ability to work remotely from home.

      Cons

      Inflexible working hours, any 5/7 contracts where shift hours vary mean it’s hard to plan ahead and around personal life. Little career progression and professional development support.

      Pros

      The only “good” thing is the small percentage of new equipment and that some gyms are 24 hours.

      Cons

      Management is unfair, cutting hours and expecting a single worker to handle the entire gym. Incredible staff are undervalued, while third-party cleaners and side services pretend to solve problems they don’t. Members are chaotic, shifts are impossible, and yet leadership refuses to hire properly. Think smarter, not cheaper.
