Pros
Being such a large and sponsored company, you do get to see really interesting cases/referrals.
Cons
I just want to clarify I was employed specifically in the Large Animal Hospital. I ended up quitting due to the stress the unethicalness of patient and employee care was placing on my mental health. Since the moment I showed up for my training - which nobody knew I was even coming for and was surprised when I showed up for my first day - I have done nothing but fight against everything in me telling me to leave. I did not feel comfortable letting my name stay on a workplace where I would not even bring my own animal. Technicians on certain teams are extremely overworked - the amount of cases doctors put on you, when you are 'screaming' that you are already overwhelmed and cannot take anything else, would shock any vet tech. There are some great doctors and technicians, but the place is so unorganized and untrained that nothing is efficiently utilized. People are not qualified for what they are doing, and they very clearly know this, but are not doing anything to fix it. No work/life balance, no communication, no true personal growth, and it seems like the employees truly hate each other and any sort of training they have to give other technicians and students. Students treated very poorly. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. Very unfortunate.
