Pros

Please, even if you are in desperate need of money, do not work for this company. The management and staff are extremely unprofessional, lacking talent, and often disrespectful. A few long-time employees constantly undermine others and create a toxic work environment. Everyone at the company seems to work in constant fear of the CEO, who only prioritizes the Vice President and a favored female colleague (whose name I won't mention). No one else holds any value in the organization. They create a stressful environment, constantly talk behind your back, and spread falsehoods about you. There is also a 22-year-old man who naively believes he is a senior, despite lacking any real knowledge or expertise. To secure his position, he continuously reports on others to management. The entire team is incredibly unprofessional, and you won’t gain any valuable experience working there. Even their product hasn’t been functional in the past six years! I strongly urge you to stay away from this company, no matter how much you may need the money.

Cons

The company suffers from a toxic leadership style where the CEO frequently yells at employees, fostering a hostile and disrespectful work environment. Favoritism is rampant, with management prioritizing certain individuals while undervaluing the efforts of others, leaving the team demoralized. Senior-level employees often fail to contribute meaningfully and rely on subordinates to complete their tasks, which creates frustration and inefficiency. Despite six years of development, the company’s product remains non-functional and unusable, reflecting poor management and strategic failures. The culture is rife with backstabbing, as employees frequently undermine one another and spread false information, leading to unnecessary conflicts. Moreover, the workplace provides no opportunities for professional growth or learning, while constant micromanagement and internal politics create a stressful and unproductive environment.

Pros

Rare disease registries are a great mission. Improving health care for people with conditions that need more access is an admirable goal.

Cons

The CEO cannot regulate her own emotions. She berates people publicly in meetings, or via email with a large distribution, whether or not they actually did anything of note. I have never seen this anger in a situation that justified it. She micromanages the entire company, whether she is knowledgeable in the area or not. None of the employees are allowed to send email to customers without running them by her first. The employee's rank does not matter. This approval can take multiple days when the CEO is in transit or busy - which is all the time since she does not trust the people she hired. Her inner circle are all yes-men. They will not speak up to or against her, no matter how misguided or counterproductive she is. In fact, they delight in telling tales and encouraging her mistreatment of colleagues. They are afraid of her wrath, with good reason. Feeding her misinformation is the way they stay in her good graces. If she were not funding the company herself, there's no way this company would exist. She will never collaborate effectively with an investor. She would not listen to advice or take action on any of their recommendations. She is unethical with employees and customers alike. That is why there is neither an HR department nor anyone in charge of security or compliance. Ditto to all the other reviews on this site -- avoid this company at all costs.
