Pros
Good place to get training for your career.
Cons
the pay is very bad. Since 2019, PSE claims they are hurting financially (like every other company), but the people at the top are getting huge bonuses. This information is publicly available on sec.gov. The pay for our CEO, Mary Kipp, is as follows: • 2022 base pay: $991,585, bonus: $3,769,346 • 2021 base pay: $923,923, bonus: $3,490,322 • 2020 base pay: $891,667, bonus: $4,404,899 • Previous CEO (before 2019) base pay: $989,799, bonus: $10,784,569 • The total bonus for all executives from 2019-2022 is $42,805,267. However, we have had to deal with drastically cut bonuses, raises that don’t match inflation, cutting the amount PSE pays toward benefits (they snuck this one in and never told us), reduced headcount, and not filling positions after people leave or trying but can’t hire anyone because the pay is low. They are also in talks with outsourcing companies. They recently reversed the work-from-anywhere-in-WA policy, which might force some of us to buy a car, commute long distances, or even sell our houses to keep our jobs. During all of this the CEO the gives herself multimillion dollar bonuses.
