Pros
Fantastic work-life balance! 176 hours of PTO if you're Full-Time, and up to 256 hours if you convert your yearly holiday bonus to PTO. Publix gives you shares of stock at the end of every year based on a percentage of your total earnings for that year, and you receive quarterly dividends, really adds up overtime. I've worked at 5 different stores over the years and have always had a good working relationship with co-workers, management is hit-or-miss but has been mostly positive in my case. Great flexibility on hours if you're Part-Time. Great Health Insurance benefits. Lots of opportunities for advancement, IF and only IF you're good at what you do and show you care.
Cons
Hard/impossible to get overtime, unless you're at one of the busier stores that's short staffed. I mentioned hit-or-miss with management, have had a few cases of working for TERRIBLE managers. Depending on the store/managers, proper training can also be lacking.
