The management and staff at Psynergy believe in a positive, healthy, and healing atmosphere where those diagnosed with a moderate or severe mental illness can begin to recovery. The owners all have their unique and quirky personalities and they strive to ensure the best care is given to a usually dismissed and stigmatized population. From the flooring to the walls, artwork, and phenomenal chefs, the care is unmatchable. People who work here are special. They are the individuals who work harder and longer than most, because the work is meaningful. Psynergy's leadership team; Arturo, Mike, Jean, Lynda, and Adam care about the clients, staff and facilities that they manage. Arturo is the CEO, and he is the glue that holds the operation together. He is responsible for ensuring business runs in an ethical and legal manner, and clinical documentation is completed within state regulation guidelines. He's also a wonderful person, supervisor, and human being. Lynda fights for clients and has a heart of gold. She is responsible for too much to list, but always takes the time for advocacy on behalf of this underserved population. Mike, Adam, and Jean are your facilities, HR, and Administration rockstars. The staff is significant and instrumental to the success of the clients and keeping them out of locked facilities. If you know anything about locked settings, board & care facilities, and room & board placements, you would recognize the standard of care here far exceeds anything out there. This is still a young business that is growing, learning, and attempting to surpass the standard of care in this industry. There is so much potential for career growth, and earning increases here.
Cons
It's a residential setting which means it doesn't close down. While this allows for flexibility in schedules it also means at times there may be staff shortages and coverage might be needed. Also it's governed by the state. This means there are going to be things like 72 hour rules to get documentation done, in addition to regulations that must be met in the residence. Management will continue to push if you are not meeting ETHICAL and LEGAL standards of care. If you don't like paperwork or clients, then this job isn't for you. If you know how to balance and prioritize and legitimately care about people you'll be wonderful.
