Pros

Working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Psych Plus has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From day one, I have felt welcomed into a supportive and nurturing environment that truly values its staff. The management team is exceptional, demonstrating a commitment to open communication through their open door policy. This approach not only fosters collaboration but also ensures that assistance is readily available whenever needed, allowing us to deliver the best possible care to our patients. One of the standout aspects of being part of the Psych Plus team is the emphasis on work-life balance. The organization recognizes the importance of maintaining a healthy equilibrium between professional responsibilities and personal life, and they actively encourage this balance among all employees. This has significantly contributed to my overall job satisfaction and well-being. Moreover, the culture at Psych Plus is one of professional growth and development. The organization values continuous learning and provides ample opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. This commitment to professional advancement not only benefits us as healthcare providers but also translates into improved patient outcomes. For me, Psych Plus has been more than just a workplace. It is a community where professionals are supported, valued, and encouraged to thrive. I feel fortunate to be a part of such an exceptional team, and I highly recommend Psych Plus as a great place to work for anyone in the mental health field.

Cons

While no workplace is without its challenges, I believe that some aspects can be viewed positively. For instance, the ongoing demand for mental health services can sometimes lead to a heavier workload. However, this also presents an opportunity for professional growth and development, as we continually refine our skills and expand our knowledge in a dynamic environment. Additionally, the fast-paced nature of the job can be intense at times, but it fosters resilience and adaptability, qualities that are invaluable in our field.

Pros

I am a big fan of the opportunities for growth and the level of clinical independence that comes with PsychPlus. I like flexibility with scheduling and ability to set your own working hours. The team is very supportive and works hard to answer clinical questions quickly. Although we are all working virtual and nationwide, the company has an "open door policy" throughout which extends from colleagues, to managers, to executives. I like the simplicity of charting through Galaxy and knowing that the team is constantly working to improve processes for both providers and staff.

Cons

At times there can be system glitches, but software team works hard to fix any issues in real time.

Pros

The company mission is inspiring, which is the number reason for why I joined. I had the impression given the company's focus on mental health, the internal culture would be a healthy and supportive place to work. That's not the case, read on under the cons..

Cons

Over the years there has been a large push for growth with high volume acquisitions of several clinics and the UK company last year which should point to what should be a successful blueprint to making mental healthcare accessible to all. Sadly, in my years of working here I have seen several concerns this business isn't operating in a healthy and legal manner. There is high turnover and lack of interest in growth and retaining great talent. The volume of clinic acquisitions without a proper process to integrate teams, processes and development. The people who leave are the smart ones who see the mess and sprint fast out of here. I don't see how we are making money and profitable and recently seeing we've filed bankruptcy is proof of it. The CEO and his two trusted leaders, the CCO and COO all lead with an abusive and toxic leadership style. They talk down to their team, publicly shame people, write off bad performance without investing in helping people improve. You will learn A LOT here, and the most important lessons will be in how NOT to lead with an abusive and toxic mindset.
